With elements and rhythms of African origin, this full body workout is an excellent way to de-stress and get fit fast. When African slaves were brought to Brazil, they carried their culture, music, beliefs and religious rituals with them.
Capoeira with Gildete
(Monday 20h )
Brazilian martial art tempered with elements of dance, music and acrobatics. Capoeria works your whole body while improving flexibility and endurance resulting in a beautifully toned musculature. It was created by slaves who were brought to Brazil during the course of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. They combined ritualistic dances, music, and chanting with fighting techniques as a means of practicing a form of self-defence inconspicuously disguised as a dance.
